Reason – VLC Bangerz
“VLC Bangerz” is a tribute to the spirit and vibrancy of my time in Spain. Those nine months were marked by an extraordinary combination of euphoric surroundings, remarkable people, and novel experiences—both musical and otherwise. Similarly, “VLC Bangerz” is an eclectic blend of newly explored genres such as trip hop, funk, synthwave, and a substantial amount of hip hop.
The album is structured into three sections, each comprising three compositions.
The first section delves into a fusion of rough dubstep, funk, and vintage ’70s melodies. The second section features tracks named after significant addresses in Valencia, each capturing the unique atmosphere and emotions associated with those places. These songs are infused with West Coast hip hop vibes and electronic music, reflecting the sounds often played there. The final section consists of fresh arrangements of classic rock and metal tracks that I frequently listened to while in Spain, preserving my inner rock essence. These reinterpretations were crafted with the special collaboration of some friends, reimagining these songs in entirely new styles.
